Setting mindful goals aren’t necessarily about making big goals, they are about concentrating on smaller, more attainable objectives that help you be present in the moment.
Thus, as you set your new year’s resolution, instead of concentrating more on those big goals, your focus should be on how you can attain your mindful goals. Your mind must be at peace to create meaningful goals and resolutions. This means that you must find a means to calm your mind to determine which goals should be prioritized.
Let’s take a look at some mindful goals you can add to your day.
Early to bed, early to rise
“Early to bed, early to rise makes a person healthy, wealthy, and wise!” We all grew up listening to this rhyme. Waking up early in the morning gives you more time and energy to activate yourself before starting your day. The more late you sleep, the more tired you’ll feel. Your body naturally produces the sleep hormone at night; thus, it makes you drowsy. Keep in mind that some habits like heavy dinners, binge-watching Netflix, smoking can affect your sleep cycle severely. Thus, you should avoid them before you sleep. Set your alarm clock earlier each day so that you can easily get used to waking up early and be able to spend your mornings comfortably. Make time for yourself in the morning, you really need it!
Get medicine for your mind
Mental health is something no one wants to talk about. No matter how much you’re physically healthy. If your mind is not in peace, you’ll certainly not be able to cope with life challenges. Early morning yoga or meditation, listening to soothing music, deep breathing exercises and proper sleep can help your mind relax.

Plan everything
Are you one of those who go to the grocery store and forget to pick the most important item? One practice which you start from today is to organize and plan everything. Make a list of grocery shopping before moving out. Create a weekly menu to avoid thinking about what to cook daily. Plan your meetings. Write down all the ‘’to-do-lists’’ before proceeding to another thing. It will help you focus more accurately and will save a lot of time.
Honesty is the best policy
One thing you can promise to ensure is to ‘’be honest’’. Pour your heart out. Don’t keep grudges. Are you missing someone? Call them. Did your friend hurt you? Forgive him. The relationship didn’t work out? Move on. Did you fail at something? Start again. Life only comes once, so be easy on yourself.
Be kind to yourself
“Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle”. Elders always told us to be compassionate about others but what about ourselves? The one who needs your kindness the most is your own self. It doesn’t mean to feel pity but sympathizing with your own self is very much needed in the present world. Appreciate yourself and the world will do the same.
Be Empathetic
Empathy is a human being’s true meaning. If you cannot empathize with a person in his worse time, then you lack basic humanity. Having compassion for others doesn’t make you emotionally weak rather it gives real significance to your existence. Needless to say, ‘’those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.’’

Give yourself a break
Are you fed up with the same boring routine? Take a break and escape from work. Your body and brain need to have rest even though you look as fit as a fiddle. Even if you’re a stay-at-home mom, you deserve a vacation. Relaxing is essential for your physical as well as spiritual health.
Get out of your comfort zone
It’s good to be easy on yourself. But then again, it’s better to push one’s self and leave your comfort zone. You’re your own competition, and every day you set new boundaries for yourself. Allow explorations and adventures to your day. You might be thrilled to know how much you’re capable of going beyond the limits.
Start working on these mindful goals from today and you’ll definitely have a blissful and hearty life, as well as a fulfilling year.
